Titanium is a metal with high resistance against erosion and corrosion with low specific weight (4,51 g/cm³), combined with high specific strength. The corrosion resistance in for example saltwater and acids are very good and the material is therefore used in the chemical industry and in the offshore industry. Titanium is also used in the aerospace industry, the anodizing industry, the medical industry and when making sports equipment. There are four different grades of pure titanium; grade 1, 2, 3 and 4. We also supply several titanium alloys. The most common are Titanium Grade 5, Titanium Grade 7 and Titanium Grade 12. The tensile strength of Titanium Grade 5 is approximately three times higher than pure titanium. Edstraco supplies semi-finished material like titanium sheet, titanium plate, titanium bars, titanium wire but also titanium pipes, titanium fasteners and customized parts according to drawing. We deliver according to ASTM B, AMS, ASME and MIL-T. Material certificate, normally to EN10204.3.1, is included in delivery. Technical data (pdf) |
