Molybdenum (Mo) is a refractory metal with extreme strength and stiffness at high temperatures. Density is 10,22 g/cm³ and the melting point is 2610°C. The metal has good thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion and low emissivity. Molybdenum is easy to manufacture and form. Molybdenum is used in steel alloys, electric contacts, heating elements, electrodes, rocket nozzles, high temperature dies, evaporation boats, vacuum furnaces, metalizing and glas-to-metal seals.

We also supply several molybdenum alloys like TZM, Mo30W och Mo50Re. TZM (titanium, zirconium, molybdenum) offers twice the strength of pure molybdenum at temperatures over 1300°C.
